Counseling is a very personal experience. In the initial session, I will gather the history of how your struggles are impacting your daily functioning and bringing you in to treatment. Together we will develop individualized goals to most effectively address your concerns.
I utilize the most current, evidence based techniques to help you meet your goals. While my theoretical orientation is largely rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I integrate other approaches as necessary to best meet your needs.
Since there is no one treatment that fits with every single person that may come to counseling, we may determine that another form of treatment may be better suited to your needs. I have been trained in several treatment orientations and will use different techniques and approaches to ensure the best care possible.
